Newly renovated, painted in soothing, crisp Mediterranean colors, decorated with original artwork, and furnished with antiques, Siran House comprises three separate buildings and has two entrances from the street. The main house includes a fully equipped, modern kitchen/dining room and a large, bright living room that opens onto both terraces through French windows. On the same level, the eastern building houses two bedrooms (which share an en suite bathroom), which open directly onto one of the terraces. The western building, on the lower level, has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms (one en suite with a master bedroom). The spacing of the bedrooms on both sides of the property provides privacy for everyone.
All bedrooms are air-conditioned and fitted with large wardrobes. Plenty of linens and towels, including beach towels, will be provided. A weekly maid service is also included in the rental rage. More frequent service can be organized for an additional fee.
As part of the rental fee, a donkey man will meet you on your arrival at the port, transport your luggage, and escort you to the property, where our housekeeper will give you the keys and show you around the house. The kitchen will be stocked with drinking water and some snacks. You will also find an English/French “Siran and Hydra Insiders’s Guide” to the house and the island, written from our personal experience of living in Hydra, with many suggestions and useful telephone numbers.
The house also provides Internet access, an iPod speaker dock, a piano, an open fireplace (firewood is provided during colder seasons), a dish washer, a washing machine, a deep freezer, and a baby cot.
Please bear in mind that visitors to Hydra are required to climb stairs, so Siran House is not suitable for anyone with mobility issues. Families with young children need also to consider the terraces and the stairs: your children’s safety is your responsibility.
