Hydra has 6 monasteries/nunneries and approximately 300 churches.
The monasteries/nunneries include Agia Eupraxia, Prophitis Ilias, Agia Triada, Agia Matrona, Agios Nikolaos, and the Monastery of Virgin Mary of Zouvra.
Hydra’s cathedral, the Church of the Dormition, with its Byzantine and Ecclesiastic Museum, are located in Hydra Harbor. Nearby you will also find the churches of the Hypapante, St. John the Abstinent, Agios Konstantinos.
