Hydra hosts an annual three-day regatta that marks the beginning of the racing season.
Spring and Fall Regattas
The spring regatta, held on the weekend before Independence Day, or March 25, is organized by the Hellenic Offshore Racing Club and heralds the beginning of the summer. The boats race from Athens to Hydra on Friday, then compete in various sailing events and races on Saturday, before racing back to Athens on Sunday.
