Guided Hikes on Hydra

Discover the scenic island of Hydra on foot with a certified guide. Trek to Hydra’s castles, windmills, monasteries, and remote villages and beaches.

Guided tours last between 3 and 8 days, the Hydra portions of which include hikes to

• Zourva Monastery and lighthouse on the Island’s eastern tip
• Profitis Ilias monastery for a visit with the monks and on to the top of Mount Eros (588m) with its splendid views, then down past Agios Mamas (animal protector in the Orthodox Christian religion)
• Vlychos and Palamidas and up to the ancient agricultural village of Episkopi
• Agias Mamas and then along the south side of the island to Agios Nikolaus and Limnioniza

Hikes last between 1.5 and 6.5 hours, cover distances of 5.5 to 19 kilometers, and climb to altitudes of 50 and 600 meters.
