Hydra Hotels

Nefeli Hotel courtyard

Hydra Greece has an abundance of charming family-run boutique hotels, pensions, bed and breakfasts, and guesthouses to suite any comfort level and budget. Some of Hydra’s hotels have four-star ratings; more economical options are nestled into the town’s cobbled backstreets. Some are situated above the town and involve a climb in exchange for majestic views; others are in town or on the port, offering easy access to the Hydra’s restaurants, tavernas, cafes, shops, sights, and sounds. You’ll find hotels in all of the island’s main villages (Kamini, Vlichos, Mandraki), as well in Hydra Town proper.

Traditional-style hotels on Hydra tend to be located in town close to the harbor or in the adjacent streets, although some are located higher up, affording spectacular views of the town, harbor, and Saronic Gulf. Often occupying some of Hydra’s historic sea captain’s mansions, they offer varying levels of luxury and service. Some also offer event and wedding planning and facilities.

Also scattered throughout town you will find numerous family-run guesthouses and pensions. These run the gamut from clean and budget-friendly pensions to quite luxurious. Some will offer all the amenities of a proper hotel; some will provide only a bed, linens, and a shared bathroom/shower, so be sure to check before you confirm your reservation if you require an en suite bathroom.
