Agia Fotini

Established in 1860, the Orthodox Greek convent of Agia Fotini is today home to two nuns, who, in addition to their religious duties, look after the monastery grounds and the cemetery. The convent is not open to the public but can be viewed from outside the grounds.

From Hydra Harbor, follow the first road after the flying dolphins (next to the Alphabank) past Hydra’s Stadium all the way to the back of town past the El Greco hotel and the parking area for municipal trucks, the up the zigzag road past the cemetery to the pine-covered area of the Monastery of Agia Fotini.
