Agios Nikolaos (Kiafa)

On Friday, December 7, 2018, the Divine Liturgy of St. Nicholas will be celebrated with the Divine Liturgy in the old parish church of Saint Nicholas located in the “Voros” location of Eastern Kiafas adjacent to the “Kala Pigadia” area.

The founder of the church in 1767 is said to be John Voros. In the 1828 census the church had 194 parishioners and its pastor was Cretan priest Constantine Papasifakis.

One of the important parishioners was the firefighter Andreas Pipinos (his house is within walking distance of the temple).
