The House Aquata is a stunning property, situated in Kamini, Hydra: a quiet corner of Hydra well-known for its magnificent views of the Eros Mount and the Aegean Sea; a perfect place for those looking for privacy and tranquility.

The picturesque village of Kamini is located to the west of Hydra Harbor. Houses sweep from the coast up to the hills of Mount Eros. The pebble Kamini Beach is situated just in front of Castelo, an old armory, restored as a restaurant and beach bar. The clean and crisp water with a deep blue-green color makes it an ideal spot for children and families. Kodylenia’s Tavern is built high in the rock above the waterfront, ideally situated for enjoying an uninterrupted view of sunsets. Christina’s Tavern, serves some of the island’s best traditional dishes and fresh fish. The 2 neighborhood’s traditional convenience stores provide fresh fruits, dairy products, snacks, soft drinks, beer and wine, toiletries etc. In Kamini you will find the mansion ruins of leading Greek cubist artist Nikos Hadjikyriakos-Ghikas. The yellow-red Mavromatis mansion and the port of Kamini were used in 60’s as the shooting place of the musical Mermaids & Rascals. Over 300 years the port is used by Hydra’s sailors as a boatyard for their wooden boats during the winter. Every year on Good Friday Hydriots observe the custom of immersing the Epitaph in the seawater as a blessing to the sailors of the island.

House Aquata features a furnished garden and rooftop veranda. Its interiors are spacious, well-proportioned and decorated in a light and airy style with a good mixture of antique and contemporary furniture. The living room features a French antique fireplace and a formal dining area with an impressive chandelier and an antique dining table. It consists of 4 bedrooms with private bathroom. A fully equipped kitchen is available.

BBQ facilities are provided. There is a marble outdoor table and guests may enjoy their meals right by olive trees, oleanders, pomegranates and bougainvilleas.
