Nestled at the foot of the hillside on the tiny port of Kamini, this apartment is 5 minutes away by water taxi from the main port of Hydra, or approx. 15-20 minutes walking distance along the scenic coastline path. There are no cars on the island, which makes it quite safe. Everything is reached by foot or water taxis (small boats) and sometimes by donkeys.

Our apartment is one of a cluster of 4 apartments built together each with separate access, within a short distance of the Kamini Port. It is built in the traditional architecture of the island from natural stone that is found on the island. This can be seen both in the interior walls and the external facade of the building.

It sleeps 2 adults & 2 small children comfortably & there is also a baby cot available for use upon request. This would also be a great romantic getaway location for a couple or for two couples without children or for the individual traveler seeking tranquility & rest.

From the apartment balcony there are breathtaking views of the sea, the Peloponnese mountain and beautiful sunsets, with ferries, yachts and fishing boats sailing by.

Kamini is a quiet picturesque fishing village just off the main port of Hydra. Most cafes, restaurants & night-life are in and around the main Port, but there are a few lovely restaurants close by, as well as a small supermarket for shopping within close walking distance & they can also arrange for deliveries of your purchases.

There are opportunities for great walks from either side of Kamini. On the north-east side to several small beaches dotted along the coast and on the south-west towards the main port and all its endless alleys & streets just waiting to be explored. All this & just under 5 minutes’ walk to the nearest beach.

Additional Info

The bathroom has a standard shower. Open plan kitchen/dining & living room area. The kitchen is equipped with all basic utensils & utilities - fridge, stove/oven, kettle, toaster, plate rack for drying dishes, crockery etc.

There is no TV on the premises, but there is a small radio/CD player for relaxation, a fireplace for those colder months and electric heaters in each room for additional warmth in the winter. The bedrooms and the dining area are equipped with ceiling fans for cooling those hot summer days.
