All of the small streets leading from the harbor into Hydra will ultimately take you to the back of town, and the farther you go, the higher you’ll climb.

Agios Konstantinos

High above Hydra Harbor in Kiaffa, the oldest part of Hydra Town, this church is dedicated to the island’s patron saint, St. Constantine.Profita Ilias and Agia Eupraxi

The views of Hydra from the monastery Profita Ilias are stunning, well worth the somewhat arduous hike (it is possible to take a donkey if you prefer). Visit also the nearby convent of Agia Eupraxia.

Mount Eros

Above Profita Ilias, Mount Eros is the highest point on the island (598 meters). From here you’ll see panoramic views of Hydra, the Saronic Gulf, and the Myrto Sea.
